Seventy years ago, in a small kitchen in Bangkoks Prannok neighborhood,

a woman named Maew began crafting her own curry paste pounding sun-dried chilies, shallots, garlic, and over ten local spices with nothing but a granite mortar and her heart.

A recipe born from care, perfected by hand, and passed down through generations.

From a humble curry stall in Bangkok to As Good Restaurant on Phi Phi Island today, this 70-year-old recipe continues to live on.

Every paste is still freshly hand-pounded, made with the same devotion and tradition, so that each dish carries the soul of true Thai flavor authentic, aromatic, and timeless.

Chef Mod is a Thai chef with over 20 years of experience across Thailand, Europe, and the Middle East. He has collaborated with renowned national chefs like Chef Chumpol Jangprai and is one of the chefs with international-level achievements, along with a profound understanding of Thai culinary culture.



Today, Chef Mod brings all his experience to craft authentic Thai flavors at As Good "Best Authentic Thai Cuisine in Phi Phi Island" with the intention of elevating the restaurant to become a "Thai flavor landmark" that travelers from around the world must experience.
